David Zwirner is pleased to participate in India Art Fair for the third consecutive year. Highlights include a selection of works by Marcel Dzama, some of which were made in response to—and specifically for—the fair. Dzama’s new works reference Indian culture and include details such as Bollywood dancers, and regional wildlife. Dzama’s works on paper will be presented alongside two sculptures by the artist, as well as a brand new large-scale wall mural, which Dzama will paint directly on to the gallery’s booth at the fair, demonstrating the breadth of his wide-ranging artistic practice.
David Zwirner will also be presenting works by artists with important recent institutional recognition including Lucas Arruda, who will be participating in Dhaka Art Summit in February 2020; Stan Douglas and Carol Bove, both of whom featured prominently in last year’s Venice Biennale; Oscar Murillo, a recent winner of the Turner Prize; Harold Ancart, following his presentation of new work at Madhavendra Palace in Jaipur, and Alice Neel, whose work will soon be the subject of a major retrospective at Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris. These will be shown alongside select works by renowned artists Anni Albers, Josef Albers, Dan Flavin, Suzan Frecon, Yayoi Kusama, Sherrie Levine, Chris Ofili, Fred Sandback, Wolfgang Tillmans and Franz West.
